Two more chain stores were shut down in Alanya! They put babies' lives at risk

During inspections conducted by the teams of the Alanya Municipal Police Department, it was found that two chain store branches were selling baby food, infant formula, chicken, meatballs, and other food products that had expired or had the expiration dates erased. These two stores were shut down for 3 days by the Council’s decision and were fined.
By the instructions of Alanya Mayor Osman Tarık Özçelik, the Municipal Police Department continues inspections of all markets, restaurants, cafes, butcher shops, bakeries, and pastry shops in Alanya. The teams apply necessary penalties to businesses that jeopardize public health and do not follow hygiene regulations.
During the inspections, one chain store located on Esref Kahvecioglu Street in Güllerpınarı District was found to be selling expired baby food, infant formula, chicken, meatballs, milk, and other products. In another chain store located on Hacet Street in Güllerpınarı, products with erased or expired expiration dates were being sold. After recording the violations, the businesses were referred to the Alanya Municipal Council. Following the council’s decision, the Municipal Police teams applied fines and shut down the two stores for 3 days.
The Alanya Municipality emphasized that the inspections will continue frequently and decisively.
