Legendary President Dogan Bacak is coming back
Former President of the Alanya Minibus Drivers’ Chamber, Doğan Bacak, has announced his candidacy for the presidency once again, criticizing the current president, Paşa Özkan, for failing to address the issues of transportation workers.
Doğan Bacak, the former president of the Alanya Minibus Drivers’ Chamber and a well-known figure among local transporters, has decided to reclaim his position after years of successful leadership. He stated that he is running again due to overwhelming requests from the transportation community.
CANDIDACY ANNOUNCED AT THE REQUEST OF DRIVERS
Bacak emphasized that transportation workers in Alanya, especially minibus and municipal bus drivers, do not receive sufficient support from Paşa Özkan, which prompted him to step forward as a candidate again. “The problems faced by our transporters remain unresolved. Vehicles from outside the district are offering services at lower prices, putting our local drivers in a difficult position. Paşa Özkan has done nothing to address this issue. Furthermore, chaos in school transport services and a lack of control over municipal buses are making things even worse,” Bacak stated, criticizing the current president.
HARSH CRITICISM OF PRESIDENT ÖZKAN
The former president pointed out that Paşa Özkan has been unresponsive to the demands of transportation workers: “Despite repeated calls from drivers, Özkan has made no effort to resolve the issues. Municipal buses continue to receive fines, school transport vehicles create chaos in front of schools, yet he remains inactive. The drivers now want me back as their president.”

Bacak has proposed concrete solutions to long-standing issues such as missing permits and unfair competition from out-of-town transport companies. “Ignoring the problems and making empty promises will not help our drivers. I have always stood by our transporters, and I will continue to do so. As president, I am determined to resolve all transportation-related issues and protect the rights and interests of our drivers,” he declared.
