Astronomical fine for driver wearing flashing lights in Alanya

A vehicle was detected using flashing lights during traffic inspections carried out by District Gendarmerie Command teams in Alanya. It was determined that the driver of the vehicle stopped by security forces did not have the authority to use flashing lights.
138 THOUSAND LIRA FINE AND HIS LICENSE CONFISCATED
The driver was given an administrative fine of 138 thousand 172 lira due to illegal use of flashing lights, and his license was also confiscated for one month. In addition, the vehicle that violated traffic rules was banned from traffic for 30 days.
INSPECTIONS WILL CONTINUE
Authorities stated that inspections against unauthorized use of flashing lights that endanger traffic safety will continue uninterrupted. The use of flashing lights, which are only allowed on vehicles belonging to official institutions, in personal vehicles endangers both other drivers and pedestrians. If such violations are detected, severe sanctions will continue to be applied.
