Shocking arrest of an Alanya developer

One of the well-known developers in Alanya's construction sector, M.Ü., was detained by gendarmerie forces due to a finalized prison sentence. The developer, who had been sentenced to 3 years and 2 months in prison for violations of the Zoning Law and had been wanted for some time, was caught while dining at a famous restaurant in Alanya Castle.
CONVICTED FOR ILLEGAL CONSTRUCTION CHANGES
M.Ü., who has investments in jewelry, hospitality, and the construction sector in Alanya, was prosecuted for making unauthorized changes to some of his construction projects. He was sentenced to 3 years and 2 months in prison for "causing zoning violations." After the sentence was finalized, an arrest warrant was issued against him, and he had been sought by authorities.
CAPTURED THROUGH GENDARMERIE'S TECHNICAL SURVEILLANCE AT A RESTAURANT
M.Ü., who was wanted by the Alanya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, was taken into custody through technical surveillance by gendarmerie teams while dining at a popular restaurant in Alanya Castle. Following legal procedures, he was taken to Alanya Courthouse, where the court ordered his arrest, and he was sent to prison.
UNAUTHORIZED MODIFICATIONS DISCOVERED IN HIS BUILDINGS
It was revealed that several irregularities were found in M.Ü.'s construction projects. In particular, in his four-story building in Saray Mahallesi, he damaged the columns to relocate the entrance platform to the basement floor. Due to this, in 2024, the municipal committee imposed an administrative fine of 10 million lira. The same building had also been sealed by the Alanya Municipality.
Additionally, an official report was filed regarding illegal structures in his hotel in Avsallar. Previously, he had also been fined and issued a demolition order for a building he had restored in Demirtaş due to zoning violations.

Developer M.Ü. was sent to Alanya Type L Closed Penal Institution. His penalties and ongoing legal cases regarding zoning violations continue to attract public attention.
