Good news for patients in Alanya: Getting medication will become easier

Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan made a statement regarding the new regulation concerning family doctors. According to the new regulation published in the Official Gazette, the number of medications that family doctors can prescribe has been increased, and the duration of many prescriptions has been extended.

Emphasizing that access to healthcare services will become even easier, Minister Işıkhan shared the following information on his social media account:

A total of 16 new medications have been added to the reimbursement list, including 5 used for cancer treatment.

Family doctors will now be able to prescribe a wider range of medications.

The duration of prescriptions requiring a medical report has been extended, reducing the burden on patients needing repeat doctor appointments.

The number of medications that family doctors and internal medicine specialists can prescribe has been increased.

With this regulation, it is expected that family doctors in Alanya will be able to offer their patients a broader range of medications. In particular, the extension of prescription durations will provide relief to citizens struggling with chronic illnesses.
