Alanya Education and Research Hospital successfully applied the Supine Mini Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy (Mini PNL) method for the first time in Alanya, which is used in only a few centers in Turkey. Led by Associate Professor Ali Akkoç and Associate Professor Murat Topçuoğlu from the Faculty of Medicine at Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University, the team performed surgery on 59-year-old Hüseyin Bekiroğlu, removing kidney stones with laser. This minimally invasive method reduces bleeding and pain, helping patients recover faster.
