Alanya University brings together world universities in Alanya

Alanya University is organizing the “Moving Forward 3rd International Week by Alanya University” event from October 7 to 11, 2024, aiming to strengthen international academic cooperation. This year, the event will be held for the third time, with 23 higher education institutions from 11 countries participating. The event serves as an important platform for establishing academic partnerships and promoting international exchange programs.

40 Participants from 11 Countries

Academics and administrative staff from 11 different countries will participate in the event held at Alanya University. With the completion of the application process, a total of 40 participants will attend, focusing on internationalization processes. The event aims to enhance student and staff exchange opportunities through Erasmus+ programs, as well as increase interactions between different cultures.

Comprehensive Program and Cultural Activities

The first day of the event will begin with university presentations and intercultural training. The day will conclude with a Gala Dinner and Turkish folk performances, introducing participants to Turkey’s cultural wealth. A city tour visiting the historical and cultural sites of Alanya will take place on the second day. Throughout the week, knowledge-sharing sessions, good practice examples, and educational fairs will also be included in the program. As part of the university events, the natural beauties of the region, such as Side and Manavgat, will be presented to the 40 participants from 11 countries. On the last day of the event, October 11, a certificate ceremony will be held. After the official signatures are signed, participants will return to their countries.

I believe that the “Moving Forward 3rd International Week by Alanya University” event, organized to expand our vision of internationalization and accelerate our integration process with the world, is a great opportunity. The coming together of academics and administrative staff from 11 different countries at our university is significant not only for establishing academic partnerships but also for deepening intercultural understanding. While promoting the cultural riches of our country, starting with Alanya, we will create an environment where scientific and educational experiences are shared. Hosting such an organization on behalf of our university will contribute to increasing our visibility on the international stage and establishing strong ties academically. I am confident that while exploring the natural and historical beauties of Alanya, our participants will permanently transfer their academic experiences back to their countries. We aim to make these processes continuous through Erasmus+ exchange programs. By the end of this event, I hope we will have hosted not only new collaborations but also strong friendships.”
