In Antalya, suspects preparing to distribute narcotics were taken by surprise during a police operation at their meeting. It was determined that some of the narcotic substances were hidden in Russian salad, and the moments of their capture were recorded by security cameras.
Provincial security teams found that the individuals they were monitoring had brought a large quantity of narcotics and raw materials used in the production of stimulants into the city from other provinces. As their investigation deepened, the teams obtained information that the drugs were stored in residences located in the Muratpaşa and Konyaaltı districts and that synthetic cannabinoid A4 would be manufactured from these raw materials to be sold through individuals referred to as "torbacı" (street-level dealers).
The operation, coordinated by the Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, resulted in the suspects being caught in the act during their meeting. In operations conducted at four separate addresses, including the residences of those arrested, in the districts of Muratpaşa, Konyaaltı, Kepez, and Alanya, a total of 575 units of synthetic cannabinoid A4 (approximately 3 million 676 thousand uses), 30,000 ecstasy pills, 778 grams of cocaine, 738 grams of fubinaca, 629 grams of marijuana, 238 synthetic pharmaceutical pills, 5 precision scales, 2 handguns, 10 loaded cartridges, and currency believed to be obtained from the crime were seized.
Legal action was taken against 18 individuals
In the scope of the operations, three individuals were charged with "purchasing, accepting, possessing, or using narcotics or stimulants for personal use," while 15 individuals faced charges of "manufacturing and trafficking in narcotics or stimulants".
Hidden in Russian Salad
Meanwhile, the moment of the raid was captured on security cameras. In the footage showing the moments when two suspects on a motorcycle were apprehended, it was evident that some of the seized narcotics were hidden in a container with Russian salad, which was discovered during the search operations conducted by the teams.
