Will the Sea Be Polluted? Concern Grows Among Citizens in Alanya
In Alanya, residents are protesting against the fuel dock project, which is believed to increase the risk of marine pollution.
In Yeşilöz District of Alanya, citizens are strongly reacting to the project aimed at expanding the fuel dock facility in the sea. The project, previously halted by a court decision, has been reintroduced by the Ministry of Environment and Urban Planning.
Yeşilöz Neighborhood Head Mehmet Yıldız criticized Alanya Municipality for remaining silent on the issue, stating that the public was given an opinion on the project without being informed about its details. Yıldız emphasized that the residents of the neighborhood are strongly opposed to the project.
Citizens, concerned about the potential damage the project could cause to the environment and the sea, have called for increased awareness on the matter.
