The app used by drivers was hacked: Immoral messages are coming one after another
A security breach in PTT's Fast Pass System (HGS) mobile application has put users in a difficult situation. Inappropriate messages and notifications were sent through the app, and there were claims that some users were being asked for cryptocurrency.
Many HGS app users encountered offensive messages and notifications. They shared their experiences on social media, drawing attention to the issue.
CRYPTOCURRENCY DEMAND AND THREAT OF DATA DISCLOSURE
Some users reported receiving threatening messages asking for cryptocurrency. The messages included phrases like: "If you don't send 25,000 dollars to this BTC address, I will share your data."
PTT’S STATEMENT ON THE ISSUE
PTT issued a statement on its social media accounts regarding the incident. The statement read:
"Late in the evening, unauthorized access to the messaging system of our HGS mobile app was detected from abroad. It was found that notifications, unrelated to our company, were sent to some users. As soon as the situation was noticed, our security systems were activated, and all necessary technical precautions were taken. No data loss has occurred, and there has been no unauthorized access to user information. Furthermore, legal proceedings have been initiated."

PTT officials advised users not to trust such messages and to contact official channels in case of suspicious situations.
