A significant leap in Antalya and Alanya: All thanks to floating hotels
Antalya and Alanya ports have made a significant leap in tourism by hosting luxury cruise ships since the beginning of this year. Approximately 57,000 cruise passengers had the opportunity to explore the beauty of these cities.
Antalya has become particularly popular among tourists from Europe. The city set a record for the number of tourists arriving by air this year and also achieved significant success in cruise tourism. The QTerminals Antalya Port and Alanya Port hosted a total of 21 and 15 ships, respectively, welcoming thousands of tourists.
Attracting Tourists
Özgür Sert, General Manager of QTerminals Antalya Port, shared the city’s tourism success and expectations for the coming years. Sert mentioned that, in addition to the sea, sand, and sun, Antalya attracts tourists with its historical and cultural richness. He noted that tourists from Europe, particularly Germany, prefer to visit Antalya.
Sert emphasized that cruise tourism is making a significant contribution to the economy of Antalya. Luxury cruise passengers tend to spend more, which boosts the local economy. Additionally, cruise tourism allows tourists from different countries to get to know Antalya better.
