“ALANYA AGRICULTURE AND FORESTRY DIRECTORATE 2024 OUR WORKS”

“As our Ministry and Directorate, which have undertaken a wide range of duties and responsibilities in the Food, Agriculture and Livestock sector; we continue our works uninterruptedly to increase efficiency and quality in production by protecting soil and water resources and our agricultural areas, to protect the labor and sweat of the producer, and to guarantee the food safety of our citizens.

Agriculture, animal husbandry and food, which are among the most important sectors in the Turkish economy and social structure, continue to be a sector that makes significant contributions to our economy with effective and determined policies.

Within this framework, our efforts will continue uninterruptedly so that the sector, which also has strategic importance in national security, can make the momentum it has gained in the recent period permanent and continue it in the future.

The rapid change in the conditions affecting agricultural production in the world necessitates us to present our strategic priorities with an agriculture and animal husbandry vision suitable for world conditions.

This vision includes factors such as climate change and natural disasters, depletion and pollution of soil and water resources, population growth, migration movements, geopolitical risks, epidemics, reliable food, global food supply security, and protectionist tendencies in food trade.

Our main goal is to establish a sustainable agriculture, animal husbandry and food sector that increases its international competitive power, is based on advanced technology, has solved infrastructure problems, and has high efficiency with a planned production structure that considers the supply-demand balance.

In line with all these objectives, as of 2024, our Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has switched to the ‘Planned Production Model’ in our plant, animal and aquaculture production and our production has been planned.

Within the scope of the Planned Production Model, Plant, Animal and Aquaculture Supports have been renewed and a module has been implemented that is based on production, higher, positive discrimination is made for women and young farmers and more support is given to small family businesses.”

“WE ARE CONTINUOUSLY WORKING IN THE FIELD”

We take plant and animal samples and perform soil and water analyses within the scope of pest control. We also continue our inspections for healthy and reliable food at every stage of production.”

Stating that they are involved in every stage of agricultural production as a directorate within the scope of the studies carried out in 2024, Rüzgar stated that in addition to the controls carried out before and after harvest, the samples taken from the food businesses are sent to the laboratory for pesticide, microbiological and content analyses.
