A freeze watch in Alanya! The greenhouses were hit by frost

While Siberian cold temperatures are affecting many provinces across the country, in Alanya, where temperatures have reached below freezing, producers kept watch over their greenhouses by lighting stoves to protect their crops from frost. Snowfall and cold weather continue to affect many provinces in Turkey. In Alanya, the Siberian cold has started to be felt, with temperatures dropping below freezing during the night. Alanya, which ranks among the top provinces for greenhouse production in Turkey, saw producers lighting stoves inside their greenhouses to protect their crops from frost. Alanya Agricultural Chamber President Tahir Göktepe, who had been warning producers about frost, also stood by their side during the frost watch.

Meanwhile, some greenhouses that did not take precautions were affected by the frost, as temperatures dropped to -3°C between 4:00-5:00 AM.
