In Alanya, there is a shortage of beds in the hospital! A new building will be constructed

Alanya Education and Research Hospital, which provides services not only to the residents of Alanya but also to neighboring districts, is planning to build an additional 300-bed building on a 26-dunam plot allocated to the Ministry of Health to address the overcrowding issue in its inpatient department.

The 26,392-square-meter former nursery area, which was planned in the past to be used as an oncology hospital and social spaces but had been left in limbo for years regarding which institution would use it, was transferred to the Ministry of Health. Currently, the hospital’s emergency department sees approximately 1,500 patients daily, and it operates with a bed capacity of over 400.

With the opening of the new cafeteria, additional intensive care units will be created, making it necessary to address the core issue of insufficient beds for inpatient care. Therefore, new projects are being developed, including the construction of an additional 300-bed building, which is expected to reduce the overcrowding for hospitalized patients.

Alanya Education and Research Hospital accepts patients not only from Alanya but also from the districts of Anamur, Sarıveliler, Ermenek, Gündoğmuş, Manavgat, and Akseki. The hospital also conducts surgical interventions for individuals with special needs who require surgery at Alanya Dental Hospital and the ALKÜ Faculty of Dentistry.
