The nurse who gave the patient the wrong blood caused their death

In Nevşehir, nurse Menekşe Y., who caused a patient's death by administering the wrong blood, appeared before the judge for the first time. Her defense shocked everyone.

At the trial held at the 5th Criminal Court of First Instance in Nevşehir, the accused nurse Menekşe Y., who is being tried without detention, attended along with the son and daughter of the deceased Emine Ekinci. According to the forensic report presented to the court, it was unanimously determined that the patient died as a result of receiving the wrong blood.

SHE CLAIMED SHE MIXED UP THE ROOMS

Appearing before the judge for the first time, nurse Menekşe Y. stated that she mistakenly administered the blood meant for Leyla A. to Emine Ekinci. She emphasized that there was no intentional wrongdoing and that the mistake occurred solely because she mixed up the rooms.

HEARING POSTPONED

Hicran Çelik, the daughter of Emine Ekinci, who was present at the hearing, stated that she was accompanying her mother on the day of the incident and did not accept nurse Menekşe Y.'s defense. The court decided to continue the trial without detaining Menekşe Y., and the next hearing was scheduled for March 20.
