Historic Success in Alanya: Mehmet Arif Türktaş Anadolu Lisesi Becomes Undefeated Champion
In the Alanya Schools Basketball Competitions, Mehmet Arif Türktaş Anadolu Lisesi defeated all its opponents to become the undefeated champion.
This great achievement has been written in gold letters in the school's history. The championship holds great significance as, after 13 years, the basketball championship trophy, which has been held by private schools since 2011, has come to a public school.
MEANINGFUL STATEMENT FROM SCHOOL DIRECTOR RUHI SARIKAYA: After the victory in the competition, Ruhi Sarıkaya, the Principal of Mehmet Arif Türktaş Anadolu Lisesi, thanked all the students in the basketball team and their families. He also expressed gratitude to the head coach of the school’s basketball team, Asım Okumuş, for his tireless efforts, working day and night.

Our team has the honor of being the first school to bring the basketball championship trophy, which has been held by private schools since 2011, back to a public school after 13 years. We are proud to be working with a coach who is passionate about basketball in Alanya. We are very happy with the results of our planning and efforts that led to this championship."

The head coach of Mehmet Arif Türktaş Anadolu Lisesi Basketball Team, Asım Okumuş, expressed his feelings about the championship as follows: "First of all, I congratulate all the schools that participated and put in effort. This championship, thank God, belongs to Mehmet Arif Türktaş Anadolu Lisesi Basketball Team. I also want to thank Alanya Anadolu Yıldızları Sports Club, its management, and our basketball team. We are very happy that our students are part of a club that represents Alanya in the Antalya Local Basketball League. This success is not an ordinary success. After 13 years, we won this cup as a public school. I also thank our school director, Ruhi Sarıkaya, for his support."
