A horrifying incident occurred in Izmir: A young man beat a young woman to death

In the Ödemiş district of Izmir, 27-year-old Fatma Kara was beaten to death by her ex-boyfriend O.G. in the middle of the street. It was learned that O.G. had previously abused Kara, leading to a restraining order, but the order had expired, and the legal case was still ongoing.

The incident occurred around 1:30 AM in the 2nd Bayındır Street of the Türkmen neighborhood in Ödemiş. Fatma Kara and her ex-boyfriend O.G. met to talk. What started as a normal conversation quickly escalated into an argument.

THE ARGUMENT ESCALATED INTO VIOLENCE

As the argument intensified, O.G. repeatedly slammed Fatma Kara’s head into the ground. Neighbors who witnessed the incident immediately notified the authorities. Emergency medical and police teams arrived at the scene shortly after. Medical personnel confirmed that Kara had died at the scene.

THE BODY WAS SENT FOR AUTOPSY

Fatma Kara’s body was sent to the Izmir Forensic Institute for an autopsy. Police arrested O.G. after the incident and initiated an investigation.

PREVIOUSLY COMMITTED ABUSE

It was also revealed that O.G. had previously abused Fatma Kara, which led to the issuance of a restraining order, but the order had expired, and the ongoing lawsuit was still in process. The police continue to thoroughly investigate the case.
