High school students paid an educational visit to the solar power plant (GES)

Students of Hasan Çolak Anadolu High School visited the Solar Power Plant (GES) facility owned by Alanya Municipality in Toslak District. During the visit, students were informed about the solar energy production process, the technical structure of the system, its environmental benefits, and energy efficiency.

The solar power plant in Toslak District, which has an installed capacity of 3600 kWh and is owned by Alanya Municipality, continues to host technical tours for students to raise environmental awareness. In the 2024–2025 academic year, 30 students from Hasan Çolak Anadolu High School visited the GES site, accompanied by the technical team of Alanya Municipality’s Department of Climate Change and Zero Waste.

During the visit, students received comprehensive information on the solar energy production process, the system’s technical structure, its environmental benefits, and energy efficiency. The technical team explained the working principles of solar panels through practical demonstrations and answered students’ questions. Thanks to the visit, students had the opportunity to observe the importance of renewable energy sources firsthand. Alanya Municipality emphasized the importance of introducing young people to clean energy technologies and stated that such educational visits will continue.
