Tornado horror in Manavgat

In Manavgat, after a sudden heavy rain in the early morning, a tornado formed, causing significant damage to a business.

The tornado, which occurred in the Gültepe neighborhood on the Manavgat-Antalya D-400 highway, dragged a 2-ton bungalow 30 meters from the front of the business. The strength of the tornado was so high that a light commercial vehicle was thrown onto parked cars. A total of 9 vehicles were seriously damaged.

The bungalow was dragged 30 meters, and cars piled up on top of each other. Eyewitnesses described that the bungalow first moved to the right, then to the left, and finally flipped over and flew 30 meters away, landing upside down. The event, which took place while the electricity was cut off, did not turn into a major disaster thanks to the workers of the business not going outside.

After the incident, gendarmerie and municipal teams were immediately dispatched to the area.
