A large project was completed in Akçatı using the traditional communal labor system (imece)

The Mayor of Alanya, Osman Tarık Özçelik, visited the Akçatı neighborhood to inspect the construction of a multi-purpose hall being built using the communal labor system (imece). This project, supported by the Alanya Municipality, will be an important investment that will serve the neighborhood for many years.
Alanya Municipality continues to address local needs with sensitivity and work towards their solutions. In this context, the Multi-Purpose Hall Project, which addresses some of Akçatı's most significant needs, such as a children's play area and a retaining wall, is being brought to life through communal effort. The project is being carried out with building materials provided by the municipality under the instructions of Mayor Osman Tarık Özçelik, and the process is progressing with the voluntary efforts of the neighborhood residents.
"WE WILL KEEP THE IEMECE CULTURE ALIVE"
Mayor Özçelik, along with Vice Mayor Murat Levent Koçak and Mayor’s Advisor Nazmi Zavlak, visited Akçatı to inspect the ongoing work and thanked everyone involved. Expressing that citizens should be partners in both governance and service, Mayor Özçelik said, "Our Akçatı neighborhood is setting an example of solidarity. We are doing our part to ensure that this effort is not left without reward. Wherever our citizens are, the Alanya Municipality is also present. We are working to keep the imece spirit alive and deliver services more quickly and efficiently. As Alanya Municipality, we will continue to support the technical and construction processes in line with the local needs. This community-built structure will contribute to social activities and neighborhood solidarity for many years. We will continue to uphold our neighborhood-focused service approach in line with the vision of local development. We will keep the imece culture alive."
