In Alanya, Mayor Osman sealed an unauthorized helicopter pad

In the Ulaş Mevkii area, on land owned by the Regional Forestry Directorate, a helicopter pad was built right by the sea, sparking controversy after the company Flyme began organizing tours.

The Alanya Municipality sealed the helicopter pad, which was constructed in the garden of a restaurant that failed to comply with the tender conditions. The land belongs to the Regional Forestry Directorate but had been leased to third parties. Reports indicate that the helicopter pad was intended for paid tours over Alanya, Cyprus, and Bodrum.

The owner of the pad or the company responsible remains unknown, as it was built without obtaining permission from the Alanya Municipality. It is also reported that some high-ranking politicians intervened, pressuring the municipality to reopen the pad. However, Mayor Osman Tarık Özçelik has firmly stated that he will not allow it to be reopened.
