Great Interest in Mango at Alanya Tropical Fruit Festival
This year, the third Alanya Tropical Fruit Festival has seen significant interest in the mango stand of tropical fruit producer Mustafa Ezici. Organized by the Alanya Municipality, the festival kicked off with colorful moments yesterday. Mustafa Ezici, who has participated in previous years, attracted attention once again with his mango stand.
In an exclusive statement to Dim TV, Ezici said, “This is the third edition of the festival. The Alanya Municipality is providing a lot of support. Both local and foreign tourists come to shop. All tropical fruits grown in Alanya are sold here. The people who taste them are very pleased, especially with the mango. Currently, approximately two thousand acres of mango are cultivated in Turkey, and production is seriously underway. Now we send orders from our Instagram account, Alanya Mango, in special boxes across Turkey within a minimum of 48 hours. We strive to deliver avocados, mangoes, dragon fruit, papayas, and many other tropical fruits grown in Alanya, Gazipaşa, and Anamur to our customers in the best way possible.”
“OUR PRODUCTS HAVE NO PESTICIDE RESIDUES”
Ezici emphasized that their products have no pesticide residues, stating, “Especially, our products do not have pesticide residues. We conduct analyses. Many fruits can also have herbicide residues. We ensure that consumers consciously eat healthy products. Therefore, we continuously analyze to offer our customers very high-quality fruits”.
ADVICE FOR ASPIRING MANGO PRODUCERS
Ezici offered advice to citizens wishing to produce mangoes: “Mango trees can live for 300 years. You plant them in open areas, like where bananas grow. They start bearing fruit in their third year. They can grow as large as walnut trees in open fields. At the age of seven, they can yield around 200 kilos of fruit. In greenhouses, you can plant them 3 by 2 or 2 by 2 meters apart, and they also bear fruit in three years. A single acre can yield a minimum of 300,000 lira. Currently, we can sell wholesale. We send retail orders, including shipping, for 250 lira per kilo. We ship mangoes by cargo for those who order a minimum of 4 kilos”
