A bus carrying passengers to Alanya had an accident! There are fatalities and injuries
A bus carrying passengers from Aydın to Alanya collided with a truck in the Sarayköy district of Denizli, resulting in one death and 23 injuries.
According to the information gathered, the accident occurred on the İzmir-Denizli Highway in the Duacılı neighborhood. The intercity bus with plate number 07 ABL 737, driven by Ahmet Gürpınar (60) from the Didim district of Aydın, was in motion when it collided with a truck with plate number 15 AAY 875, driven by İsmail Tokcan (36), who was exiting a gas station.
The impact caused significant damage to the right side of the bus. Health, fire, police, and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene following a call from nearby residents. The injured passengers trapped inside the bus were rescued through the windows with the help of ladders by fire and medical teams. The injured were taken to various hospitals. One of the passengers, a Bulgarian citizen named Gulshen Kadirsancı, was confirmed dead at the scene.
TRAFFIC FLOW MAINTAINED ON ONE LANE BY POLICE
It was determined that 3 of the 20 injured passengers were in serious condition. Treatment for the injured continues in hospitals. A public prosecutor conducted an inspection as part of the investigation into the incident. After the inspection by the gendarmerie’s crime scene team, the body of the deceased Kadirsancı was sent to the Sarayköy State Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Traffic flow was maintained by the police on one lane. After the investigation at the scene, the bus and truck were removed with the help of tow trucks. The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
