They overcame obstacles in Alanya
In Alanya, individuals with disabilities, studying at the Accessible Art Workshop within the Alanya Municipality's Accessible Life Center, depicted their dreams and challenges as puzzle pieces in monochrome colors. Alanya Belediyespor volleyball players also showed their support by wearing these t-shirts.
Collages of drawings reflecting the inner worlds of individuals with disabilities and the emotions they wish to convey to society were printed on t-shirts. The players of the Alanya Belediyespor Men's Volleyball Team wore these t-shirts during the pre-match ceremony, sending a meaningful message with the phrase "Life is a Puzzle, and We Are Part of It".
A PROJECT THAT TOUCHES THE LIVES OF PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES
The event, held as part of the "Everyone for Alanya" project, drew attention as a step that touches the lives of people with disabilities and aims to increase empathy in society. Organized in cooperation with the Alanya Municipality’s Accessible Life Center and Alanya Belediyespor, the event seeks to strengthen the participation of individuals with disabilities in society and raise awareness.
SPEAKER: OUR STRUGGLE FOR AN ACCESSIBLE LIFE CONTINUES
Faruk Kocakum, the advisor to the Mayor of Alanya, commented on the event: "Today, we saw these puzzle pieces depicting stories that touch hearts. Some drew their lost hands, others drew their deceased disabled siblings. Though these stories may be dramatic, they give us the strength to continue our struggle for coexistence. Today, we wore t-shirts with drawings made from their dreams and lives. We, Alanya Belediyespor Men's Volleyball team, take pride in being a part of their lives. Their determination, courage, and contributions to life inspire us all. Life is also a source of inspiration for all of us".

Faruk Kocakum continued: "Today, we will be together for healthier tomorrows. By overcoming barriers one by one, we will create a more beautiful society. These t-shirts are a symbol that our differences enrich us. Alanya will walk hand in hand toward better days".
