Attention to those with money in the bank and those wanting to take out a loan! Shocking statement about interest rate cuts
TÜİK announced that the annual inflation rate in November was 47.09%, exceeding expectations. Economists, evaluating the data, stated that the high inflation rate would make it more difficult to reduce interest rates. It was also noted that the significant differences between the data published by TÜİK, ENAG, and ITO could pose a problem regarding the reliability of economic indicators.
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) released inflation data for November. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 47.09% annually and by 2.24% monthly.
The independent organization, the Inflation Research Group (ENAG), calculated the monthly inflation at 4.06% and the annual inflation at 86.76%.
According to the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce's data, consumer inflation in Istanbul increased by 3.07% monthly. Compared to the same period last year, the increase was 57.99%.
