Following a warning by Alanya's Mayor Osman Tarık Özçelik that "the market should serve the vendors, we will not allow exploitation," he took action, including moving vendors to open areas at the Friday market upon their request.
Designated spaces were allocated to producers, and those who insisted on not opening stalls were assigned spaces through a lottery. It was decided that the vendors would open their own stalls, and disciplinary warnings were issued. The municipal police team is closely monitoring compliance with regulations regarding appearance and the organization of stalls. Despite warnings, inspections and fines will be intensified.
