The Alanya Municipality Theater Brought Together 10,000 Art Lovers in 2024

One of the most important cultural brands of the city, the Alanya Municipality Theater, opened the 2024-2025 season with the play "Premiere Party." Since January, several plays have been performed, such as "Love is Not Something Special," "What a Funny Story," "Women, Elephants, and Others," "The Old Man and the Sea," "Premiere Party," and "An Odd Parade," reaching around 10,000 viewers.

The Alanya Municipality Theater (AMT) has brought together thousands of theater enthusiasts with its performances since January. The play "Love is Not Something Special" was staged 12 times, drawing significant attention, while "What a Funny Story" was performed 8 times. "Women, Elephants, and Others" was staged 4 times, "The Old Man and the Sea" 14 times, "Premiere Party" 2 times, and "An Odd Parade" 4 times.

3 TOURS IN THE YEAR

The Alanya Municipality Theater organized domestic and international tours starting in 2024. The theater first participated in the 9th Adana City Theaters Festival. The festival, held from October 14 to November 5, featured plays from 17 different city theaters. The Alanya Municipality Theater presented "The Old Man and the Sea" at the festival. Later, the theater participated in the 9th International Central Asian Countries Theater Festival in Shymkent, Kazakhstan, from November 6 to 11, where "The Old Man and the Sea" was also performed. After the tours in Adana and Kazakhstan, the theater participated in the 12th International Izmir Theater Festival. The play "What a Funny Story," performed by the Alanya Municipality Theater, received high praise from the audience.

BEST MALE ACTOR AWARD GOES TO AMT

At the International Central Asian Countries Theater Festival, where the Alanya Municipality Theater was the only invited team from Turkey, the theater received great applause for its team and performance. Actor Fırat Onur Deniz was awarded the Best Male Actor Award.

THEATER PERFORMANCES CONTINUE IN 2025

The theater performances, which provide enjoyment for the public, continue in 2025 without slowing down. The following plays will be staged at the Alanya Culture Center in January at 8:00 PM:

"The Old Man and the Sea" — January 17-18,

"An Odd Parade" — January 24-25,

"Premiere Party" — January 31 - February 1.
