Be careful when getting a report from a family doctor! You will now have to pay

As in the rest of Turkey, new legislative changes in healthcare and social security are being implemented in Alanya. The law passed by the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) and the digital integration initiative launched on January 1, 2025, bring significant innovations, particularly in family doctor services.

According to the new regulation, family doctors in Alanya will be able to see patients outside of working hours for a fee. Additionally, services such as medical reports and driver's license certificates will now be chargeable, with the income directed to the revolving fund. The working hours of family doctors have also been revised to a minimum of 40 hours per week.

INCREASE IN CONSULTATION FEES

The consultation fee for outpatient services has been increased to 20 TL. However, for patients referred by family doctors, this amount can be reduced by 50% through SGK. The President has been granted the authority to increase this fee up to 10 times.

CHANGES IN PREMIUM SUPPORT

The discount rate for social insurance premiums paid by private sector employers to SGK has been reduced from 5 to 4 points. However, the 5-point support will continue for workplaces in the manufacturing sector. The President may extend this practice until the end of 2027.

DIGITAL HEALTH ERA BEGINS

With the digital integration initiative of the Ministry of Health, healthcare centers in Alanya are also adapting to the new digital system. This system aims to make report processing and outpatient services faster and more efficient.
