Avocado of Alanya, piyaz of Antalya... All hotels are taking measures
Throughout Antalya, products with geographical indications such as Antalya piyaz, Antalya orange peel jam, and Alanya avocado will take their place in hotel menus in order to support local farmers and contribute to tourism.
Within the scope of a project implemented with the support of Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, Antalya's unique flavors will now meet tourists in hotels. With the project initiated under the coordination of the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, products specific to Antalya will be promoted and local farmers will be supported.
As the first step of the project, a protocol was signed with Rixos Downtown Hotel. A special corner will be created within the hotel and Antalya's famous flavors will be offered to tourists. Local flavors such as Antalya piyaz, Antalya pumpkin dessert, and Antalya sprinkled pastry will be offered to guests staying at the hotel.
THEY WILL EXPERIENCE LOCAL TASTES
The project is aimed to be expanded to other hotels. The Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry aims to meet with all hotels in Antalya and ensure participation in the project. In this way, both the products of local farmers will be introduced and tourists coming to Antalya will have the opportunity to experience local flavors.
FARMERS' INCOME WILL INCREASE
The project will facilitate the marketing of products produced by local farmers and farmers' income will increase. Tourists coming to Antalya will be offered a different experience, diversity in tourism will be provided and the city will be promoted. The project aims to ensure the sustainability of agriculture and support local production.

Within the scope of the project, Antalya's geographically indicated products such as Antalya piyazı, Antalya pumpkin dessert, Antalya sprinkled pastry, Antalya orange peel jam, Antalya bergamot peel jam, Alanya avocado, Korkuteli karyağdı pear, Manavgat sesame, rabbit heart olives and Alanya bananas will meet with tourists.
