Last year, Japanese earthquake expert Yoshinori Moriwaki, who had warned Alanya, sold his house in Japan and moved to Turkey due to his admiration for Atatürk.

Japanese earthquake expert Yoshinori Moriwaki made important warnings at a seminar organized by the Balçova Municipality in İzmir on the second anniversary of the February 6, 2023, earthquakes. Speaking about Turkey's earthquake preparations, Moriwaki expressed his admiration for Atatürk, revealing that he had sold his house in Japan and bought a home in Turkey. "Atatürk is a great leader, I love him very much," he said, adding that he had decided to work in Turkey for the rest of his life.

Last year, Moriwaki, who had warned about earthquake risks in Turkey, also issued warnings regarding the tsunami risk in Alanya and the safety of buildings in various regions of Turkey.
