Interesting claim in Alanya: Municipal employee practiced fortune-telling, was fired

In Alanya, a municipal employee was reportedly fired for allegedly reading coffee grounds. Yeliz Ulukaya Çetiner, who took the matter to court, claimed that she was contacted by another department of the municipality with the offer, "Drop your lawsuit and come, we'll hire you."

Yeliz Ulukaya Çetiner, a staff member at the Alanya tea garden, claimed that she was unfairly dismissed due to fabricated reports and mobbing by other employees. Çetiner stated, "They are accusing me of reading coffee grounds, but I definitely did not do that." She also stated that her supervisor, O.C., unjustly filed two reports against her while she was at work, saying, "Everything is visible on the camera footage."

"I WAS FIRED FOR READING COFFEE GROUNDS"

Yeliz Ulukaya Çetiner, who worked at the municipality's tea garden, claimed she was fired for allegedly reading coffee grounds and took the matter to court. She said that a municipality official called her and offered, "Drop your lawsuit and come, we'll hire you."

"I WAS SUBJECTED TO MOBBING"

Çetiner claimed that municipal employees created false reports and subjected her to mobbing, which led to her dismissal. "They are accusing me of reading coffee grounds, but I definitely did not do that," she said.

"I WAS FIRED WITH FALSE REPORTS"

Çetiner further stated that her supervisor, O.C., filed two false reports against her while she was at work, explaining, "Everything is clear in the camera footage. I was subjected to mobbing and fired."

"I DID NOT READ COFFEE GROUNDS, BUT I LOST MY JOB"

Çetiner filed a lawsuit against the municipality and explained the details: "While I was working, some people at a table were drinking coffee. When I approached to clear the table, a woman, later identified as D.Y., the Vice Chair of the Alanya CHP Youth Branch, called me, 'Can you read my coffee grounds?' I replied, 'O.C. will get angry with us.' D.Y. responded, 'He's our friend, he won’t say anything.' Nevertheless, I did not read the grounds. Yet, O.C. filed a report, accusing me of reading coffee grounds and spraying my friend with water."

The legal process is ongoing, and Çetiner stated that she will fight for her rights until the end.
