The couple traveling around the world in an electric car has arrived in Alanya.

Fan Huyu and Gloria Chee, a Chinese couple who set out from China in their electric car to raise awareness about air pollution caused by gasoline and diesel vehicles, have arrived in Alanya. After passing through Iran, the couple entered Turkey and reached Alanya after visiting several cities. They had previously traveled around the world over 13 years, and now they want to try it with an electric car. Gloria Chee mentioned that they are the first people in the world to travel around the world in an electric car: "We left China. We are the first people recorded as traveling around the world in an electric car. Our goal is to visit 100 countries with an electric car. We already traveled around the world once, visiting 100 countries, which took us 13 years. My husband lost several family members to cancer in China. We decided to go on another world tour, choosing an electric car to raise awareness about air pollution caused by cars. We started the trip in 2023. We don't know when it will end, as we can travel 500 km on one charge after 11 hours of charging."

We will promote Alanya everywhere

Gloria Chee expressed her appreciation for Alanya: "We’ve been in Alanya for two days. We really like it here. The Mediterranean climate, with the mountains and the sea together, is wonderful. In China, it is said that where there is both sea and river, there will be prosperity. The people are very hospitable. We checked into a hotel, and everyone was very helpful. We see Alanya as a place where people can vacation in peace. In the hotel, they gave us a room with a sea view, allowing us to deeply feel the atmosphere of the Mediterranean.
