A dispute between the nurse couple, who had been married for two months, ended in a bloody murder. 26-year-old Halit Can Sakman allegedly killed his wife, Sevcan Demir Sakman, brutally with a machete due to financial problems. After the incident, Sakman injured himself and was arrested by the police.

The couple worked as nurses at a private hospital. Upon a neighbor's tip-off, police arrived at the scene and found Sevcan Demir Sakman lying in a pool of blood. Halit Can Sakman surrendered to the police at the scene.
