There is great interest in mango at the festival
At this year’s 3rd Alanya Tropical Fruit Festival, the mango stand of tropical fruit producer Mustafa Ezici attracted great interest.
The Alanya Tropical Fruit Festival, organized for the third time by the Alanya Municipality, kicked off with colorful moments. Mustafa Ezici, a tropical fruit and seedling producer who participated in previous years, became one of the most popular stands with his mango this year. In a special statement to Dim TV, Mustafa Ezici said, “This year, the third festival is being held. The Alanya Municipality provides great support in this regard. Local and foreign tourists come and shop. All tropical fruits grown in Alanya are sold here. People who taste the fruits are very satisfied. They especially like mango. Currently, approximately two thousand acres of mango have been planted in Turkey, and serious production is taking place. Now, we send orders to our customers who order from our Alanya Mangosu Instagram page, within a minimum of 48 hours, all over Turkey in special boxes. We try our best to send avocados, mangoes, dragon fruits, papayas, and many other tropical fruits grown here in Alanya, Gazipaşa, and Anamur”.
THERE ARE NO PESTICIDE RESIDUES IN OUR PRODUCTS
Emphasizing that there are no pesticide residues in his products, Ezici stated, “In our products, especially, there are no pesticide residues. We conduct analyses. Many fruits can have herbicide residues. This way, we ensure that consumers consciously eat healthy products. That’s why we continuously analyze to offer our customers very high-quality fruits”.
ADVICE FOR FUTURE MANGO PRODUCERS
Ezici also gave advice to those who want to produce mango: “Mango is a tree that lives for 300 years. You plant it in open spaces, where open bananas grow. It starts bearing fruit in its third year. It can grow like a walnut tree in the open air. At 7 years old, it gives about 200 kilograms of fruit. In a greenhouse, you can plant in a 3x2 or 2x2 pattern, and it also bears fruit in 3 years. It’s a fruit that can bring a minimum of 300,000 lira per acre. Currently, we can sell wholesale. We send retail at 250 lira per kilogram, including shipping. We send mangoes by cargo to those who order a minimum of 4 kilograms”.
