Exposed! This is what they call chili pepper powder in Antalya
According to a report released by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, the use of banned dyes was discovered in the products of two companies in Antalya.
During inspections conducted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, it was found that two companies operating in Antalya posed a risk to food safety. These companies were included in the Ministry's list of "Foods That Pose a Health Risk" for using banned dyes in their manufactured or sold products.
Banned Dyes Found
Banned dyes, which pose a risk to food safety, were found in sumac sold by Şekerci Sıtkı Gıda Pazarlama Turizm Sanayi Ve Ticaret Anonim Şirketi, operating in the Kepez district, and in chili powder and sweet red pepper powder sold by Sarıkara Gıda Ticaret, also in the same district.
Threat to Health
This situation directly threatens consumer health and raises major concerns regarding food safety. The identification of these food adulterators and the public announcement of their actions serve as a deterrent example to other producers.
It is crucial for the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry to continue its food inspections and to keep consumers informed. Consumers should carefully check the products they buy and prefer reliable brands.
