Pride of Alanya: Büşra won two medals
Büşra from Alanya won two medals at the 2024 European Open Ju-Jitsu Cup
Büşra Soylu from Alanya participated in the 2024 European Open Ju-Jitsu Cup, which was hosted by Turkey for the first time, and won a gold and a bronze medal in two different categories in the 44 kg weight class. Another athlete from Alanya, Yusuf Kerim Çevik, also won a gold medal.
The 2024 European Open Ju-Jitsu Cup, held in Antalya from November 28 to 30, saw 355 athletes from 8 countries compete. Alanya was represented by the Samurai Ju-Jitsu Club, which had 15 athletes participating. The club won 2 gold medals, 9 silver, and 6 bronze medals. Coaches Barbaros Çevik and Yusuf Kerim Çevik congratulated the athletes for their achievements.
Büşra's achievements: two medals
In competitions held in different age groups and weight categories, Büşra Soylu, competing in the 18 years old group in the 44 kg weight class, won a championship and a third-place finish in two categories. She became the European Champion in the Newaza category, winning all her matches, and achieved third place in the Fighting category. The first to congratulate the champion was her mother, Ayşe Karagöz, who expressed pride in her daughter and said, “I expect Büşra to win medals in future major championships where she will represent our country”.

Oba Neighborhood Muhtar, Şeref Gürkan, congratulated Büşra for her victory: "Our valuable daughter Büşra Soylu, who lives and studies in Oba, became the European Champion in the U18-44 kg Nevaza-gi category and won the gold medal, while in the Fighting category, she placed third and won the bronze medal. She has made us proud and honored our country and Alanya."
