The New Alanya Residents Platform has been established

On January 14, Alanya's Mayor Osman Tarık Özçelik initiated works aimed at addressing the issues of resident foreigners more effectively and strengthening cultural integration, which were discussed today at the regular council meeting of the Alanya Municipality.

Vice Mayor Murat Levent Koçak provided information on the arrangements made during the March Council Meeting.

Koçak highlighted that significant steps were taken with the contributions of volunteer groups to make the Foreigners’ Council more active and scientific. In the new structure, a coordination team was formed to address the issues of foreigners and conduct cultural activities within an official framework.

The coordinator of the New Alanya Residents Platform will be Yasin Kınay, a staff member of the Alanya Municipality, with Christine Farami from Alanya University serving as the assistant. Additionally, the secretary duties for meetings between the Culture and Tourism Commission and the Foreigners’ Council will be provided by Nimet Bolat, a municipal employee. The restructuring process was considered an important step toward solving the problems of resident foreigners and was unanimously approved by the council members.
