Terminator bug created: they will fight in Antalya and Alanya

In Antalya, Mediterranean University has started the production of Calosoma insects, which feed on these caterpillars, to combat the damage caused by pine processionary caterpillars.

To prevent the damage caused by pine processionary caterpillars to the forest ecosystem, Mediterranean University has begun the production of Calosoma insects. Professor Hüseyin Çetin explained that these insects fight pine processionary caterpillars by eating them. It was also pointed out that the last two stages of the caterpillars' development can cause allergic reactions in humans and animals.
